Clinical researchMen 65 and older in the Tampa bay area who have been diagnosed with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease are needed for a clinical research trial testing the safety and effectiveness of the drug leuprolide acetate in halting the progression of Alzheimer's disease.
Alzheimer, which is a progessive disorder of the brain's nerve cells, affects an estimated 4.5-million Americans. Currently, no drugs are available to cure Alzheimer's disease or halt its progression.
The Aladdin Trial is seeking 105 patients for multiple test sites in the United States. Patients will be evaluated for 48 weeks.
