| Last month, Times staff photographer Scott Keeler and Times staff writer Chase Squires were sent to Punta Gorda to cover Hurricane Charley as it passed along the coast and headed for the Tampa Bay area. Little did they know their hotel would be evacuated and they would eventually have to seek shelter at the airport as the storm smashed directly into Punta Gorda.
