TAMPA - Police are looking for two men who raped a woman early Tuesday after she stopped along N Florida Avenue to check a strange noise in the engine of her Ford Explorer.

The woman stopped her SUV at the Quick Stop at 6121 N Florida Ave. about 1 a.m., Tampa police spokesman Joe Durkin said. As she got out, she saw a man at a pay phone in the parking lot. A second man pushed her into the vehicle and sat in the driver's seat.

The man who had been on the pay phone opened the passenger side door, got in and forced the woman to perform a sex act, Durkin said. Both men raped the woman and then ran away.

One suspect is described as a 27- to 30-year-old black man, 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds, wearing black jogging pants. The other is described as a black man, 35 to 40 years old, 6 feet tall with a thin build, wearing a white T-shirt and dark shorts.
