The following events have been canceled/rescheduled:

* The Spring Mermaids Service Unit of Girl Scouts of Suncoast Council has canceled its Registration Rally scheduled for Saturday at Fellowship Wesleyan Church in Spring Hill, and also the Skating Party for Sunday at Rainbow Roller Rink in Brooksville. The events will be rescheduled for a later date.

* The Patriot Day Program scheduled for Saturday in front of the Hernando County courthouse has been canceled. The event will be rescheduled for a later date.

* The Marine Corps League, Daniel J. Daly Detachment 1002 annual scholarship golf tournament, which was scheduled for Saturday at Heritage Pines Golf and Country Club, has been canceled. The event will be rescheduled for a date in November. Details will come at a later date. For information, call Richard Lee at 686-6048 or 650-0364. * The Scottish Club of West Central Florida has rescheduled its covered-dish luncheon and meeting to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Marine Corps League Detachment on Sunshine Grove Road, Brooksville. For information, call Chris Ruckdeschel at 796-0170. * The West Hernando Athletic Club Seniors, which canceled its Sept. 8 Opening Day Ceremony, has rescheduled the event for Monday. The ceremony will start at 8:30 a.m., and will include the American Legion's color guard. Games will follow the ceremony. The WHACS is a softball league for those 55 and older. Games are at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. For information, call Sal Ficarra at 688-1605.
