DISCUSSION CANCELED: Because of cleanup from Hurricanes Charley and Frances and the uncertain path of Hurricane Ivan, the Poynter Institute has canceled the Conversation with William Raspberry, scheduled for today. The discussion might be rescheduled, but those who have tickets for today's appearance will automatically receive refunds within 30 days. SANDBAGS AVAILABLE: Filled sandbags will be available for Pinellas Park residents from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Adamak Building, at 60th Street and 78th Avenue N. Residents will be required to show a driver's license or other proof of residency. Call (727) 541-0767.

TAX COLLECTOR CENTERS OPEN: Three Pinellas County Tax Collector service centers have reopened since power has been restored following Frances:

* North County, 29399 U.S. 19 N, Suite 100, Clearwater.

* Gulf-to-Bay, 1663 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd., Clearwater.

* 501 Building, 501 First Ave. N, St. Petersburg.
