FRANK GORE, MIAMI: Two torn ACLs, 11/2 seasons missed, one sweet comeback for the junior: 18 carries, 89 yards (25 in overtime) and one winning touchdown.

ANTONIO CROMARTIE, FSU: The sophomore cornerback returned a fumble 61 yards for a touchdown then came up with an acrobatic interception during the final minutes.

ANTREL ROLLE, MIAMI: A likely first-round pick had he declared, the senior cornerback led a defense that allowed just 108 passing yards to Chrix Rix. And on first and 20 in overtime, he saw a screen pass coming and tackled Lorenzo Booker for an 8-yard loss.

DEVIN HESTER, MIAMI: Xavier Beitia's 34-yard field goal with 3:58 left likely would have sealed it for FSU. But the sophomore receiver blocked it to keep it 10-3.
