SCHOOLS
Pinellas County schools will decide on closings today. Call 588-6424. Hillsborough County schools will be closed Monday.
Eckerd College will close at 3 p.m. today and remain closed through Tuesday. Stetson University College of Law's Gulfport campus will close at 3 p.m. today and remain closed through Tuesday. The Tampa campus and libraries will be closed today through Tuesday. Ringling School of Art & Design will be closed Monday and Tuesday. It will reopen Wednesday. All Catholic schools in Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, Hernando and Citrus counties will be closed Monday. The University of Tampa will be closed today through Tuesday. Updates will be posted on the UT Web site and at ut.blackboard.com. The University of South Florida will decide on closings Sunday. The football game against Tennessee Tech and all other weekend activities are scheduled to continue as planned.

Florida International Museum will be closed today through Tuesday. The Pioneer Florida Days Festival at the Pioneer Florida Museum in Dade City has been canceled. Call (352) 567-0262. The TJ Maxx 2004 Tour of Gymnastics Champions with Carly Patterson and others, scheduled for Friday at the St. Pete Times Forum has been postponed until Nov. 27. All tickets will be honored on the new date. Lowry Park Zoo is rescheduling its $2 Community Day for Sept. 26. Visitors may still come for $2 Sunday, but the zoo may close early. Tampa U.S. District Court offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday. All courts in Pinellas and Pasco counties will be closed Monday through Wednesday. Courts were scheduled to be closed Thursday for Rosh Hashanah. Courts will remain closed even if the storm does not impact the Tampa Bay area, reopening at 8 a.m. Friday.
