Eunice Soila, 28, newly married and pregnant, was on a bus to a trade school she attended. "I heard a big bang and I was blown from this side to the other. I could not see and there were very many things on top of me, including bodies. There were cuts inside my eyes, deep cuts all over my body. I lost teeth. Even today I still have glass in my body — you can feel little pieces of glass. I got $150,000 shillings (about $1,875) but I was not able to do all the housework so the marriage almost broke down and I had to use that money. Since then I have just been a housewife — there is no money to pay for school."
