Ivan disrupts conference plans

Hurricane Ivan was not only threatening property damage to the Tampa Bay area late last week. It led several groups to postpone long-scheduled events in the coming days.

Among the events affected by the weather are:

Tampa Downtown Partnership's Community Forum today at the Tampa Convention Center, canceled and not yet rescheduled.

Wednesday's open house at the STAR Technology Enterprise Center, Pinellas County's new incubator for entrepreneurs, canceled and not yet rescheduled.

The Minority Enterprise Development Conference at the Tampa Convention Center Sept. 13-16, rescheduled for Oct. 11-14.
