SPRING HILL - A 75-year-old Spring Hill man died after his car was broadsided at the intersection of Mariner and Landover boulevards early Saturday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 15-year-old Richard T. Reynolds was at the wheel of a 2004 Chrysler sedan when it ran a red light and struck David E. Watt's vehicle on the driver's side. Watt's car, which had been traveling east on Landover, next struck a third car and a tree before coming to rest. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Reynolds of Spring Hill, who was the only occupant in the vehicle he was driving, was transported to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. His condition Sunday was not known. No charges have been filed. Florida law prohibits people younger than 16 to drive a car without a valid learner's permit, and they must have an adult inside the vehicle at all times.
