Forecasters say Ivan will bring wind, rain and storm surge over the next three days. Starting this afternoon, the storm will bring about an 80 percent chance of rain for many coastal areas. Occasionally heavy showers will continue through Friday, with some areas getting as much as 3 or 4 inches. Winds could increase to 25 mph this afternoon, with some tropical storm force gusts today, Wednesday and possibly Thursday. Some storm surge also is likely through Thursday, with as much as a 2 to 4 feet expected from Sarasota to Hernando counties, and 4 to 6 feet in Citrus and Levy counties.
