CLEARWATER - A Hillsborough County school bus filled with children on a field trip was hit by a car driven by a St. Petersburg Times photographer Friday afternoon.

No one was injured. The crash occurred about 12:30 p.m. at McMullen-Booth Road and Drew Street. Times photographer Scott Keeler hit the bus from behind. The bus was one of two taking about 80 middle-school children on a field trip to Ruth Eckerd Hall. Keeler, 45, of St. Petersburg, was cited for failing to use due care. He said his brakes failed.
