Got a Minute: Alex Haynes, UCF Tailback

It seems like Knights coach George O'Leary always has a scowl on his face. What's he like when the cameras are off?

People think he's serious all the time, but he does have a personality. He's straight up with you, and he treats everybody the same, no matter whether you're a player or a coach. And at times, he does joke around.

Somebody once said that the pounding a tailback takes is like getting into several minor car accidents a day. Is that true, and what's the toughest part about the position?

Yeah, that's about right. The toughest part is the physical part of it; just taking hits day in and day out. What music groups are the hottest right now?

3 I'd probably say G-Unit and 50 Cent.

UCF attendance never has been that great. How crucial is it to the program's success that it picks up?

That's very important. That's what brings the money in and helps make the program go.

What kind of potential does UCF have? Can it ever compete with the big boys on an annual basis?

We've got a lot of potential. We have the money. The school, the program and the facilities are expanding. We're just waiting to blow up. All we need is to go out and have a couple of good seasons and get to a bowl game, and we'll probably be the next Florida or Florida State.
