SPRING HILL - A 23-year-old Spring Hill man was arrested on Thursday after he was accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl in his car.
Korey L. Barber of 6216 Layton Ave. was charged with sexual battery after sheriff's deputies noticed his car parked in the vicinity of several businesses about 2 a.m., a sheriff's report said.
Deputies reported they saw the 13-year-old passenger and a used condom on the ground next to Barber's car.
The girl, whose name is being withheld, told authorities she had sex with Barber. During questioning at the Sheriff's Office, Barber corroborated the girl's account. He was later booked into the Hernando County Jail. Bail was set at $10,000.
