COACH SPEAK: Joe Gibbs has three Super Bowl titles with the Redskins from 1981-92 and Bill Parcells has two with the Giants from 1983-90. But Parcells holds an 11-6 series edge over Gibbs, and that includes six straight. The Cowboys have won 12 of the past 13 against the Redskins.
ON THE RUN: The Dolphins have 90 yards rushing. There are 29 players with more yards rushing than the Dolphins.
OUTDONE: The grass isn't always greener for the Vikings, who have lost 17 of their past 18 games outdoors. Minnesota was 0-6 in each of 2001 and 2002, 1-4 in 2003 (with a win over the Packers on opening day). So far this season, they are 0-1. They play on Oct. 10 in Houston, but the Texans could close the roof. If that happens, the next opportunity will come play Nov. 14 in Green Bay.
TWO DOWN FOR BROWN: Titans running back Chris Brown is trying to become the second back in history to rush for at least 100 yards in his first three starts. Stump Mitchell did it in his first four starts for St. Louis in 1981. And while we're comparing, Brown has 252 yards rushing in those two games. Eddie George didn't hit 252 yards until the sixth game last year.
