Tom Smith of Gainesville wades through flood waters as he carries his belongings to his truck through the inundated parking lot of the Port Hotel in Crystal River Monday morning. Smith, who lives in a mobile home, said that he came to Crystal River on Saturday to avoid the hurricane because the forecast had Jeanne moving up the east coast and hitting Jacksonville. "I figured that I'd just come down here and chill out and watch the Gator game," Smith said. "It (the storm) just hit and hit and hit. . .I'm just now getting the hell out of here."
