WHAT THE LIGHTNING WOULD BE DOING: The Lightning would be practicing today after playing Atlanta in a preseason game Tuesday.

THE LATEST: A poll conducted by the Financial Post in Canada revealed Canadian business leaders support a salary cap. In the poll, 72 percent said the league needs a salary cap while 22 percent said the players should not be forced to accept one. The rest did not know.
