LARGO - Detectives are searching for two robbers who hit three Largo-area businesses this week.

The heists began Tuesday night when they robbed the Rainbow Food Mart, 2575 East Bay Drive, and Blockbuster Video, 5016 East Bay Drive. The holdups occurred 35 minutes apart . On Wednesday night, the two struck a Subway restaurant at 7725 Ulmerton Road, sheriff's officials said. In the Subway holdup, they waited for a clerk to open the cash register, then produced a handgun and robbed the clerk and a customer. Both robbers were black men who appear to be 16 to 20 years old. One is slender, about 5-foot-8, and weighs about 130 pounds. The second is about 30 pounds heavier but appears slender and muscular. One wore a blue bandanna around his neck; the other, a black stocking over his face. They may be driving a white or silver compact Pontiac. Anyone with information can call the Sheriff's Office at 582-6200.
