"1920s GALA PREMIERE,' an evening of silent films, dance numbers from the musical Chicago by Expressions-the Dance Company, archival photos, hors d'oeuvres and wine will be offered from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday at Richey Suncoast Theatre, 6237 Grand Blvd., and at Progress Energy Art Gallery, 6231 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. "OUR MODERN WORLD,' a play about Paris between world wars and focusing on the life of Bettina Bedwell Rattner, first wife of artist Abraham Rattner, will be presented at 2 p.m. Sunday in the museum auditorium. Playing Mrs. Rattner is Nan Colton. Admission is $10.

"LET THE STORIES MOVE YOU,' a theatrical presentation by women telling their life stories in music and monologue, will be given at 7 p.m. Monday at the Pasco-Hernando Community College Performing Arts Center, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. Admission is free. Following the performance, the audience may join a candlelight vigil for victims of domestic violence.

THE BENDYS (John and Mary Bendy) will sing and play guitar at 7 p.m. Monday at the Jewish Community Center of West Pasco, 9841 Scenic Drive, Port Richey. Admission is $4.

THE THURSDAY MUSICALE 50-member women's chorus will present a concert at 2 p.m. Thursday at Living Word Church, 5151 Rowan Road, New Port Richey (note new location). Guest artists are the Singing Strings, who play popular and classical music. There is no admission charge, but a donation will be accepted.

"MYTHS OF THE ANCIENT AMERICAS,' a series of paintings by Aurora M. Heuple based on the ancient Aztecs and Mayans, continues through Oct. 29 at the Pasco Arts Center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. A reception and gallery talk by the artist will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the center. Viewing hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.

CONTEMPORARY GEOMETRIC WORKS by French artist Auguste Herbin and others are at Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, 600 Klosterman Road (two blocks west of U.S. 19), Tarpon Springs, through Oct. 24. Admission to the museum is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and free to children and students with ID. Sundays are free to all. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, 5 to 9 p.m. Thursdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays.

AUDITIONS AND WORKSHOPS

STAGE WEST COMMUNITY PLAYHOUSE will hold auditions for You Can't Take It With You, a comedy, at 7 p.m. today and 2 p.m. Saturday at the theater, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Be prepared to cold read from a script. Roles are for seven women and 13 men ages 20 to 70. Production dates are weekends Jan. 13-30.
