Roll call

FOURTH & LET DOWN: Why are the Titans 1-2? They have been outscored 36-9 in the fourth quarter and have allowed opponents to rush for 100 yards in the second half the past two weeks. "We are like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth said. "We are playing like a Super Bowl defense in the first half. ... In the second half, we just let people do whatever they want to us. It's kind of crazy."

AT LEAST HE'S HONEST: The Chiefs' Dick Vermeil, who at 67 is the oldest coach in the league, admitted to making a couple of mental errors during last weekend's lost to the Texans. "Every once in a while I think dementia is setting in early," he said. "But believe me, the one thing I wouldn't do is walk out on these guys because I know they wouldn't walk out on me."

WATCH FOR THE STREAK: The Patriots have won 17 in a row, one short of the record, including playoffs, shared by the Bears (1933-34 and 1941-42), Dolphins (1972-73), 49ers (1989-90) and Broncos (1997-98).

RUNNING IN PLACE: Just how bad do the Dolphins miss Ricky Williams? The 0-3 Dolphins have 142 yards rushing. There are 28 players with more yards rushing than the Dolphins.
