School choice

School discovery nights rescheduled

The Pinellas School District has rescheduled several discovery nights that were canceled because of bad weather. Families will have a chance to tour the schools and ask questions about their programs before the choice application period for the 2005-06 school year ends Nov. 1.

* Cross Bayou Elementary, 6886 102nd Ave. N, Pinellas Park, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

* Oldsmar Elementary, 302 W Dartmouth Ave., 7-8 p.m. Tuesday.

* Bauder Elementary, 12755 86th Ave. N, Seminole, 7-8 p.m. Thursday.

* Largo Middle School, 155 Eighth Ave. SE, 7-8 p.m. Thursday.

* Center for Wellness and Medical Professions at Boca Ciega High, 924 58th St. S, Gulfport, 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

* Center for Wellness and Medical Professions at Palm Harbor University High, 1900 Omaha St., 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

* Center for Advanced Technologies at Lakewood High, 1400 54th Ave. S, St. Petersburg, 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 11.

* James B. Sanderlin Elementary, 2350 22nd Ave. S, St. Petersburg, 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 12.

* The Discovery Night for Gibbs High School and its two magnet programs, the Pinellas County Center for the Arts and the Business, Economics, Technology Academy, 850 34th St. S, St. Petersburg, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 13.

* Forest Lakes Elementary, 301 Pine Ave. N, Oldsmar, 6-7 p.m. Oct. 13.

* Tarpon Springs High and the Veterinary Science Academy at Tarpon Springs High, 1411 Gulf Road, 6:30-8 p.m. Oct. 18.

* Largo High, 410 Missouri Ave., 7-9 p.m. Oct. 19.

* Northeast High and the Automotive Academy at Northeast High, 5500 16th St. N, St. Petersburg, 6:30-8 p.m. Oct. 20.
