SPRING HILL - The Florida Highway Patrol arrested two Spring Hill men on drug charges after a trooper stopped their sport utility vehicle on County Line Road.

Arrested Friday and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute were Shaine Dolan, 30, and Augustine Rios III, 19. Both men live at 5061 County Line Road in Spring Hill.

According to a news release, the trooper stopped the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer on County Line Road near Mariner Boulevard for a faulty brake light.

A routine background check revealed that the driver, Dolan, was driving with a suspended license. But when authorities searched the SUV, they found a plastic garbage bag with three pounds of marijuana in the rear of the vehicle.

The FHP also charged Rios with possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, a felony.

Dolan also faces an additional misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license. Both men were released Saturday evening after posting bail, jail records show.
