Orlando Bishop Moore spoiled the Hernando Leopards' Homecoming with a 35-21 victory. On the strength of running back V.J. Floyd's 167 yards and two touchdowns, the Hornets (5-1) proved to be too much. Despite a stellar performance from Chad Sanders, who ran for 112 yards on 20 carries and scored a touchdown, Hernando's record dropped to 1-5. Jordan Fry caught four passes from quarterback Matt Parsons for 107 yards. "They played really tough against us," Bishop Moore coach Matt Hedrick said. "It was smash-mouth football. We're happy with the win."
Another Hernando standout was Fabian Jackson, who rushed for nearly 100 yards.
For the Hornets, Floyd had an 81-yard run that was negated by a personal foul.
