INVERNESS - Two men have been arrested on charges of breaking into a paintball supply store.

Chad Yandle Webb, 1230 Fordham Ter., Inverness, and Christopher J. Collazo, 2658 E Elm Blossom St., Beverly Hills, were arrested by a Citrus County sheriff's detective after an investigation into the burglary at the New World of Paint Ball store in the Largo Plaza on State Road 44 in August.

Webb, 19, was arrested Friday and, based on information he gave deputies, Collazo was arrested Monday.

Webb's arrest report states that he gave detectives a taped statement saying that he broke into the building through a rear window and began passing out paintball guns and supplies to three accomplices. The arrest report also states that Webb provided information to the detective about the participation of others in the crime.

Collazo, also 19, was arrested Monday at this home. Based on the advice of an attorney, he declined to make a comment to detectives, a report said.

Webb and Collazo were charged with grand theft and burglary. Webb was released on bail over the weekend and Collazo remained in the Citrus County jail Monday with bail set at $7,000.

In other law enforcement and courts news:

Max Newton, 43, 10465 S Riviera Drive, Homosassa Springs, was sentenced Monday to serve 46 months in state prison for habitually driving with a suspended license and for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Newton was scheduled to stand trial on the charges Monday, but chose instead to accept a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Richard Randall Martin, 24, 8910 Vero Ter., Dunnellon, was arrested on charges of possessing cocaine after a traffic stop Monday. An arrest report states that a deputy found bags of cocaine on the ground that had been thrown from Martin's vehicle, as well as a small plastic baggie of cocaine in Martin's shirt pocket.

Martin remained at the county jail Monday with bail set at $5,000.
