TAMPA - A Hillsborough County sheriff's detention deputy was arrested Friday and charged with the sexual battery of a 13-year-old girl.
Andre Harrison, 47, was charged with sexually battering the girl, whom he knew, in December 2001, officials said.
Harrison was hired by the Sheriff's Office in 1999 and worked at the Orient Road Jail. He was released from jail on $25,000 bail and placed on unpaid administrative leave.
