Nashville selected former Florida State quarterback and 2004 rookie of the year Adrian McPherson with the top pick in Thursday's Arena Football League dispersal draft in which players from the defunct Indiana, Detroit and Carolina franchises were made available.

The Tampa Bay Storm selected fullback/linebacker Jarrod Penright (10th), lineman Mike Sutton (27th) and fullback/linebacker Jeff Cogell (44th). Former UF receiver Chris Doering was taken 26th by Los Angeles.

Also, every fan at the NBA preseason game between the Heat and Magic tonight at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa gets 2005 Storm season tickets if quarterback Shane Stafford hits a fullcourt shot (throwing a football). They can purchase tickets at half price if he converts from halfcourt.
