TARPON SPRINGS - The Class A, District 9 tournaments at Tarpon Woods Golf Club were a study in contrast.
The boys tournament was as tight as it can get while the girls, well, wasn't remotely close.

Jesuit's Paul Crochet won the individual title in a playoff after tying CCC's Christian McCracken at 3-over 75. Jeremy Evans of Cambridge tied for third with Tampa Prep's Dan Dumala and Pat Smith at 76. Defending district champion Sam Rosati of Berkeley Prep tied CCC's Dan Humboldt for sixth at 77. On the girls side, Tampa Prep shot 349, beating Berkeley Prep by 55 strokes.
The Bucs' 404, however, was 43 shots better than third-place CCC (447) and 54 ahead of fourth-place qualifier Academy of the Holy Names (458). Tampa Catholic, which shot 522, was the only other team to field a full team.
