JACKSONVILLE - The 15-year-old grandson of a woman found slain in her Jacksonville home has been charged with murder after being arrested in Louisiana.

Christopher Henricks was awaiting extradition Tuesday to Florida. A 14-year-old girl who was with him when he was arrested was not charged, authorities said.

The body of Patricia Ann Barnes, 67, was found Sunday near the front door of her home, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office spokesman Ken Jefferson said. The night before, Henricks and the girl had been seen driving Barnes' 2001 Acura in the Fruit Cove area of St. Johns County, where the girl lives. Her parents reported her missing.

Henricks and the girl were in the same car when stopped near Lake Charles, La., for speeding.

Police have not said how Barnes died.
