Free concert by the McCormick Duo

The McCormick Duo, above, is a tireless advocate of new music. Made up of Kim McCormick, flute, and Robert McCormick, percussion, the pair will play a program of works by contemporary composers with Florida connections, including Stephen Montague, James Lewis, Steven Hicken and Salvador Brotons. The McCormicks, joined by clarinetist David Irwin, give a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the St. Petersburg College Music Center, 66th Street and Fifth Avenue N, St. Petersburg. (727) 341-4360.
