TAMPA - A 56-year-old Citrus Park woman died Thursday night when she tried to turn her 1998 Lincoln Continental onto Gunn Highway at Normandie Road and was broadsided by a 1999 Nissan heading east on Gunn.
Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Rod Reder said Jennifer Ackley of 15201 Lake Maurine Drive died at the scene.
The Nissan's driver, Erika Mendez, 19, of 5908 Taywood Drive in Carrollwood, and her passenger, Charles Santiago, 21, were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Sheriff's Office.
