LAND O'LAKES - Pasco County sheriff's deputies charged a 25-year-old woman with aggravated battery Thursday after her golfing partner claimed she beat him with a club on the 10th tee at Plantation Palms.

According to a Sheriff's Office report, Michael Zak of Land O'Lakes told deputies he got into an argument with Stephanie Marie Ragusa of Tampa about 4:25 p.m. Zak said Ragusa hit him repeatedly with a golf club, and a deputy reported several red marks appeared on his back. Zak told the deputy he took the golf club away and broke it.

Ragusa told Deputy Mark Connor that she did get into an argument with Zak while playing golf with him, but denied striking him.

Ragusa, of 12442 Berkeley Square Drive, was charged with aggravated battery. She remained in the county jail in Land O'Lakes in lieu of $10,000 bail.
