COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Todd Pegram kicked a 19-yard field goal in overtime then Lee Foliaki recovered Bobby Purify's fumble, giving Texas A&M a 29-26 win over Colorado on Saturday.
Reggie McNeal's 382 yards of offense led A&M to its sixth consecutive win, its longest streak since 1998, when it won the Big 12 title.
"To have a magical season," Aggies coach Dennis Franchione said, "you have to have a game like this somewhere along the way."
The Buffaloes took a 19-7 lead 3:45 into the third on Joel Klatt's 24-yard pass to Evan Judge. They failed on the two-point conversion.
Two Pegram field goals and Courtney Lewis' 2-yard dive in the fourth gave A&M a 23-19 lead with 4:09 left. Colorado responded with a 13-play, 82-yard drive, highlighted by Dusty Sprague's leaping 34-yard catch. Purify capped the drive with a 1-yard dive to give the Buffs a 26-23 lead.
McNeal responded by leading an 80-yard drive to set up Pegram's 20-yard field goal as time expired.
OKLA. ST. 20, MISSOURI 17: Jason Ricks' 28-yard field goal with 55 seconds left lifted the visiting Cowboys.
The Tigers took a 17-0 lead on Brad Smith's 3-yard pass to Sean Coffey with 54 seconds left in the first half. But Oklahoma State drove 80 yards in 50 seconds, scoring on a 12-yard pass from Donovan Woods to his brother, D'Juan, with four seconds left.
The Cowboys tied it early in the fourth when Donovan Woods faked a handoff and ran untouched 34 yards. After controlling the ball for more than 21 minutes in the first half, the Tigers mustered just four first downs and 87 total yards in the second.
After Missouri's fourth punt of the half, Oklahoma State took over at its 11 with 6:40 left. Vernand Morency, who finished with 173 yards, ran eight times for 44 yards, and Woods hit his brother for 27 yards on third and 4 from the Cowboys 42.
OKLAHOMA 41, KANSAS 10: Jason White threw for 389 yards and four touchdowns and Adrian Peterson rushed for 126 yards for the host Sooners.
The Jayhawks held Peterson to 21 yards on 10 carries and prevented Oklahoma from converting a fourth and 3 at the Kansas 28 in the first half. They also blocked a field goal and trailed just 14-10.
But White hit Brandon Jones over the middle, and he raced past two defenders for a 69-yard score. Lance Mitchell picked up Jason Swanson's fumble and ran 28 yards for another score. And Peterson, who rushed for 103 yards in the fourth, scored on an 11-yard run to make it 35-10.
TEXAS 51, TEXAS TECH 21: Vince Young had 300 yards of offense, ran for four touchdowns and threw for one for the visiting Longhorns. Young finished with 158 yards on 25 carries, 121 during the first half, and 10-of-15 for 142 yards.
Cedric Benson rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown on 38 carries and became the sixth I-A player to rush for 1,000 in four consecutive seasons.
Up 24-14 midway through the third, Texas drove 80 yards on 13 plays on its first possession of the second half, capped by Young's 1-yard run. Tech failed to get a first down on its next possession, and kicking from the end zone, Alex Reyes' punt went 5 yards. Young made it 38-14 on the next play, an 11-yard run.
KANSAS ST. 45, NEBRASKA 21: Quarterback Allen Webb rushed for 147 yards and scored four times for the host Wildcats.
The Wildcats' Darren Sproles rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. His 2-yard score was his 41st, a school record. He also raised his all-purpose yards to 6,010, breaking the Big 12 record of former Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams.
Daniel Bullocks returned a botched punt snap 10 yards to bring Nebraska within 24-21. But Webb's 1-yard run made it 31-21, and the Wildcats turned consecutive turnovers into touchdowns.
IOWA STATE 26, BAYLOR 25: Stevie Hicks 5-yard touchdown run with 41 seconds left ended the visiting Cyclones' 13-game league losing streak. The Bears have lost 11 in a row.
Anthony Krieg's 1-yard run with 4:58 left gave Baylor a 25-20 lead. But Iowa State got two first downs on penalties, one an offsides on fourth down two plays before Hick took a pitch right and scored.
