Way to go?
What do you think of Ron Zook staying on for the rest of the Gators' season?
It is the right thing to do
They should have him leave right way

GAINESVILLE - The Webmasters at fireronzook.com got their wish.

"I thought I would leave work and go have champagne," said Mike Walsh, one of the founders. "I was bitter that we wasted 2 1/2 years with (Ron) Zook. I was bitter that a bunch of Florida grads could see that he had no qualifications while athletic director Jeremy Foley, who gets paid a lot of money, couldn't."

Walsh and a few of his friends launched the site two days after Zook was hired.

"I was devastated when they hired him," said Walsh, a salesman in New York and 1996 Florida grad.

The founders sold T-shirts, underwear and bumper stickers to help fund the site, which they said gave a voice to the common fan.

Walsh said the site was never personal, although much of the content was devoted to ridiculing Zook and Foley.

"The bottom line is he got himself fired," Walsh said. "We just knew he would."
