College football

Got a minute, Tate Casey, TE

You're from Longview, Texas. Is football in Texas unlike anything else?

It's a huge thing. People always ask me, "How are the crowds?"

What's the largest crowd you played in front of in high school?

Probably about 35,000 at the Independence Bowl against Evangel Christian Academy. They were No.2 in the nation and we beat them the year before. We had a little smack talking before the game, and we ended up beating them again. That was a pretty big game, the biggest I've been in. Most of the crowd was about 20,000 of our fans and we played in their home place.

Does everyone assume you love country music?

They know it. They don't have to assume it. Anybody who gets in the truck with me either has to wear some ear muffs or yell at me. I drive an old Ford F-150.

If I got in the truck right now, who would I hear?

Pat Green, probably the best Texas country singer. Not a lot of people around here know who he is, but that's my guy. Him or George Straight.
