College basketball

USF Women

By GREG AUMAN
Published November 17, 2004

COACH: Jose Fernandez (39-72, fifth season). LAST SEASON: 14-15, 7-7 (eighth) in Conference USA.

NOTABLE: All five starters are back and eager to show they are better than the eighth-place preseason prediction made by the Conference USA coaches. Leading the charge is forward Jessica Dickson, the nation's top-scoring freshman last season, and sophomore center Nalini Miller. Expect a strong season from junior forward Ezria Parsons, a South Sumter graduate who had 12 points and 12 rebounds in a loss to No.6 Duke on Sunday. Depth inside will be a concern until junior center Sharon Cambridge recovers from an ankle injury.

TICKETS: Season tickets are $50. Individual game tickets are $5 plus a service charge and can be purchased at Entry 3 of the Sun Dome from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m Monday-Friday. Tickets also are available through Ticketmaster or by calling toll-free 1-800-462-8557.
