ORLANDO - With an opponent playing its second game in as many nights on the opposite corner of the country, the Orlando Magic expected to have a decided advantage coming off three days of rest.
The Portland Trail Blazers had other ideas. They fell behind early, then rallied to complete a Florida sweep.
Zach Randolph scored 20 of his 27 after halftime and Damon Stoudamire had 16 points and eight assists as the Blazers handed the Magic its first home loss of the season, 89-83 on Wednesday night.
Coupled with a 12-point win over Miami the night before, Portland coach Maurice Cheeks said he likes what he sees.
"We talked about how the Miami game was a team win," Cheeks said. "Tonight was no exception with the way we stepped out on the floor."
Magic coach Johnny Davis had a different perspective.
"I really feel that we let this one slip away," he said. "It was just one of those nights where we weren't making shots and weren't making good decisions on the break, and those came back to haunt us."
Police scour brawl video
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Police have determined that a fourth member of the Pacers, reserve center David Harrison, was involved in the brawl at last Friday night's Indiana-Detroit game. Police Lt. James Manning said footage of the fight shows it was Harrison who punched John Ackerman, 67, in the stands. ESPN provided the NBA with footage from the broadcast, and the league issued a statement saying it decided not to suspend Harrison because of the circumstances in the exit area at the time the players were attempting to leave the floor.
