St. Petersburg man, hit by car, is in critical condition

PINELLAS PARK - A St. Petersburg man was critically injured Saturday night when he was hit by a car on 62nd Avenue N.

The accident occurred at 7:18 p.m. when Timothy J. Devine, 44, stepped onto the street in front of a 1998 Honda driven by Tuyet A. Nguyen, 36, of St. Petersburg, Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported.

The accident happened just east of Haines Road.

No charges were reported in the crash, though an investigation was still in progress Sunday.

Devine was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he was in critical condition Sunday.
