Imagine Lennon on your car tag

TALLAHASSEE - Florida drivers can now support soccer, imagine a world with no hunger and live the dream, all while on the road.
Those are the messages on three of the eight new license plates approved Tuesday by Gov. Jeb Bush and the Cabinet. The new tags bring to 97 the number of optional message-oriented plates available for an extra fee to Florida drivers. The money goes to help the cause touted on the tag.
The "Imagine" tag goes to help the Florida Association of Food Banks. The plate is named for the John Lennon song, which includes the line, "no need for greed or hunger." The plate, which includes an abstract self-portrait sketched by Lennon, who wrote Imagine in 1971, was approved by Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono.
The "Live the Dream" tag honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and benefits the Dream Foundation, a nonprofit that works on health care and other issues for minority and low-income Floridians.
Other plates approved Tuesday include one urging people to "Support Soccer"; an "Animal Friend" plate, and one proclaiming support for "Family Values."
Also approved were a "Discover Florida's Oceans" tag, a "Kids Deserve Justice" plate and a tag saying "Parents Make a Difference."
