Three weeks after his arrest on charges of defrauding an insurance company, the Storm signed coach and general manager Tim Marcum to a new five-year contract.
The extension will keep the Arena league's winningest coach in Tampa Bay through the 2009 season. He has a record of 103-44 in 10 seasons with the Storm.
Marcum, whose contract ran out after the 2004 season, said he has been contacted by other teams and other leagues but preferred to stay in Tampa Bay.
"This is where I want to be, this is the mecca of Arena football as far as I'm concerned," said Marcum, a charter member of the Arena Football League Hall of Fame.
