Citrus: November races
The following races don't have primaries and will not appear on the ballot until the general election:
District 1 Citrus County Commission
A SPRAWLING FIELD: Thoughts of growth, parks and septic tanks loom large in a race teeming with candidates ranging from a builder to an artist to a boat captain.

Without opposition
Some officeholders have already been re-elected simply by qualifying for the ballot, because they drew no opposition. Here is a list of Hillsborough candidates who are returning to office automatically:

Plant City again? The district has been represented by someone from Plant City for years. This year, two of the three candidates are again from Plant City.

Group 10, Fifth Judicial Circuit
TOUTING THEIR DEDICATION: One prosecutor faces two lawyers in private practice for a circuit judge seat that will serve Citrus and Hernando counties.
Group 24, Fifth Judicial Circuit
EX-PROSECUTOR ON THE DEFENSE: The governor's appointee was a deputy before becoming a lawyer. His challenger, a defense attorney, says his experience is broader.

District 2 School Board Pasco
APPOINTMENT OR ELECTION?: Candidates differ on the superintendent job, but all favor more discipline in schools.

One vs. one: Two lawyers, both of whom guessed there would be no incumbent, hope to reach the county bench.

A fresh approach: Two Republican candidates have differing ideas on the future of the office, which has had the same leadership for 24 years.
