WATER ABOVE AND BELOW: Clarence Washington didn't let the rain clouds keep him from getting some fishing time in Monday morning off the Gospel Island bridge in Inverness. He had the day off from his job as a state corrections officer; his children were in school; and his wife was caring for their baby -- offering him an opportunity to escape. Alas, the fish were uncooperative, and he left the bridge empty-handed and wet.
