DADE CITY - A 37-year-old man was found dead Friday afternoon in a retention pond.

Dade City police Capt. David Duff said the death of Herbert Leroy Berry of Dade City was labeled suspicious.

"There was no sign of trauma on the body," Duff said.

Berry was found about 5 p.m. Friday by passers-by who saw him floating in the pond between Moore-Mickens Education Center and Tucker Avenue.

An autopsy was being done.
