TALLAHASSEE - Point guard Jill Ingram drove the lane for a basket with four seconds left and freshman Chioma Nnamaka scored a career-high 30 as Georgia Tech defeated Florida State 59-58 Thursday night in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both.
With the Seminoles leading 55-54 with 38 seconds left, Nnamaka hit a 3-pointer to put the Yellow Jackets up by two. FSU's Ganiyat Adeduntan missed a jumper with 16 seconds left but rebounded and dished to Alicia Gladden, who made a layup with 12 seconds left.
Ingram then took the inbounds and drove the lane between two defenders to give Georgia Tech (10-2) its first ACC road win since it beat FSU (13-2) a year ago.
Roneeka Hodges led the Seminoles with 19 points and Gladden added 17.
