Has started 205 consecutive regular-season games, an NFL record for quarterbacks.
Is the NFL's only three-time MVP, capturing the award in 1995, '96 and '97. He also has been selected to eight Pro Bowls.
The Mississippi native is nearly unbeatable in the cold. Including playoffs, he is 38-22 at Lambeau Field when the game-time temperature is 34 degrees or below.
First NFL completion was to ... himself. He caught his own deflected pass for minus-7 yards against the Bucs on Sept.13, 1992.
Has led the Packers to 10 playoff appearances in his 13 seasons as the starter, including a win in Super Bowl XXXI.
Is the only athlete in the four major sports to have started every game for the same team since Sept.28, 1992. On March 1, 2001, he signed a "lifetime" contract with Green Bay.
In addition to 376 career touchdowns, Favre has thrown for 49,734 yards. That's more than 28 miles of completed passes.
Among the known injuries Favre has played through in his career: first-degree shoulder separation, deep thigh bruise, severely bruised left hip, severely sprained left ankle, wind knocked out of him that led to coughing up blood on the sideline, tendinitis in right elbow, sprained collateral ligament in left knee and broken thumb on throwing hand.
