DUAL ENROLLMENT SESSION: Central Florida Community College is offering a mandatory information session for any Crystal River High School student in 10th or 11th grade who wishes to enroll in the dual enrollment program for the 2005-06 school year. Students must attend one of the following sessions offered: 10 a.m. Feb. 10 or 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17.

Both will be in the Crystal River High School cafetorium. Parents are encouraged to attend. Register by signing up in the guidance office.

AN AFTERNOON OF MAGIC: Forest Ridge Elementary PTA will sponsor two shows featuring magician Francis Menotti. They will be at 1 and 4 p.m. Jan. 30. Menotti is a professional magician who has performed at Walt Disney World and in Las Vegas.

This special engagement is Forest Ridge PTA's annual fundraiser. Limited unassigned seating is available. Tickets are now on sale: $20 for adults and $10 for children younger than 12. Call Suncoast Podiatry, 746-3333, or Joy, 212-3916, for tickets or information. Tickets may also be purchased between 2:45 and 3:45 p.m. Monday and Thursday at the school.

CHILD CARE CLASSES: Withlacoochee Technical Institute will offer a child care center operations class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays for 10 weeks beginning Jan. 25.

The class is a preparation of students for employment as a director of a child care facility, and it satisfies the educational requirement for the Florida Directors Credential. Topics include an overview of early childhood education, financial matters, personnel issues and legal responsibilities of a licensed child care center. The cost is $77.
