CAPE CORAL - Days after six kayaks worth $5,721 were stolen from his outfitting business, Steve Catron saw them listed for sale on eBay, the popular Internet auction site. He told police.

An undercover detective posing as a buyer successfully bid on two of the kayaks. Moments after he handed over $700 to two teenagers at a Circle K convenience store, fellow officers swooped in. A third youth was arrested later.

"I wasn't certain that I'd ever see them again," Catron said. "I feel lucky."
