Nite Out

Hot Ticket: For Elvis fans, it's now or never

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino wraps up its monthlong salute to Elvis on Sunday with a free Elvis Fest from noon to 5 p.m., highlighted by a return of the World Famous Flying Elvi. The skydivers perform a noon jump and stage show, then will hang around to pose for pictures with fans. (Pictures are $5 and benefit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.)

The festival also includes a Memphis-style barbecue by the pool ($5); a "Hound Dog" competition for dogs dressed as Elvis; a peanut-butter-and-banana sandwich-eating contest; a blue suede shoes dance competition; and an Elvis impersonator contest.

Contests are open to those 18 and older; advance registration is available at (813) 627-7766. The Hard Rock is at 5223 N Orient Road, Tampa.
