Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class David M. Heath, son of Diane S. Heath of St. Petersburg, recently returned from a routine deployment aboard the guided missile destroyer USS Spruance, home port Mayport.

Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Timothy F. Liberty, son of Roy D. Liberty of St. Petersburg and Marilyn A. Douglass of Largo, recently was promoted to his current rank and is serving with Interim Marine Corps Security Force Company in Bahrain.

Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Daniel R. Milstid, son of Shirley A. Milstid and stepson of Mike F. Fisher, both of Seminole, has returned from deployment to Afghanistan with Company E, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C. He is a 2002 graduate of Seminole High School.

Navy Seaman Recruit Bobby E. Thomas, son of Camilla and stepson of Michael W. Bridgeman, both of St. Petersburg, has completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2004 graduate of Osceola High School.

Coast Guard Seaman Apprentice Nicholas H. Walter, son of Marcie and Doug Walter of St. Petersburg, has graduated from the Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N.J. He is a 2003 graduate of St. Petersburg High School.
