Looking to get involved with a golf group? A league? Want to take lessons? Simply socialize with otherS? Here are a few places to check:

FLORIDA STATE GOLF ASSOCIATION: Formed in 1913, the FSGA has some 180,000 members across the state. It conducts 21 tournaments a year and last year launched the Florida Junior Tour. Visit www.fsga.org

NORTH FLORIDA SECTION, PGA OF AMERICA: This is one of 41 sections across the country that make up the PGA of America, the governing body for golf professionals. Members of the section offer instruction as well as clinics and tournaments. Visit www.nfpga.com

PLAY GOLF AMERICA: A Web site that provides information on golf activities in a player's area. The program offers a variety of activities for beginners to advanced players or those who are seeking to get back into the game. Visit www.linkup2golf.com

THE FIRST TEE: This was started to give young golfers of all backgrounds and income levels a chance to develop. There are 12 First Tee facilities in Florida, including Brooksville, Clearwater and Tampa. Visit www.thefirsttee.org
