Youth Council to honor local teens for service

TOWN 'N COUNTRY - The Town 'N Country Youth Council will host an awards banquet Saturday. More than a dozen teens will be honored for their community service.

Teens in the organization have planted trees, hosted a charity golf tournament and assisted with a health and fitness fair, among other things.

The banquet will be at the Golden Corral on W Hillsborough Avenue. Organizers say they expect about 55 people.

Teens receiving awards include: Jennifer Vennett, Blake High School; Rob Arnold, Leto High School; Katie Brady, Leto; Kyle Brady, Leto ; Isaiah Chavez, Tampa Catholic; Thomas Coverson II Tampa Prep; Richard De Armas, Blake; Nabil Harb, Blake; Chantal Kirby, Leto, Aleena Lopez Jefferson High School, Steve Mason, Leto; Luis Munez Stewart Middle School, Cassie Peters Oldsmar Christian, Jovanni Taveras, Farrell Middle School; Katie West, Chamberlain High School; Krista West, Chamberlain, and Sharnel Ransome, Leto.
